40 Acre Lake, east Texas

40 Acre Lake is on Off Ch-Big Creek in Fort Bend County, Texas and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1960. It is owned by Texas Parks And Wildlife Department.

 

40 Acre Lake Dam is of earthen construction. Its height is 7 feet with a length of 2600 feet. Its capacity is 112 acre feet. Normal storage is 60 acre feet.
