Adams Lake, southeast Alabama

Adams Lake and Dam is on a tributary of Limestone Creek in Houston County, Alabama and is used for recreation and irrigation purposes. Construction was completed in 1958. It is owned by Jim Adams.

 

Adams Lake And Dam is of earthen construction, a gravity dam. Its length is 430 feet. Maximum discharge is 296 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 62 acre feet. Normal storage is 33 acre feet.
