Allens, east Alabama

Allens Dam is on a tributary of Pigeon Roost Creek in Chambers County, Alabama and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1970. It is owned by D C Allen.

 

Allens is of earthen construction. Its length is 250 feet. Maximum discharge is 120 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 70 acre feet. Normal storage is 40 acre feet.
