Amelia Fishing Lake, east Virginia

Amelia Fishing Lake is the result of Amelia Dam is on a tributary of Appomattox River in Amelia County, Virginia and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1969. It has a normal surface area of 94 acres. It is owned by Department Of Game and Inland Fisheries.

 

Amelia Dam, also known as Amelia Fishing Lake is of earthen construction. Its height is 38 feet with a length of 880 feet. Its capacity is 2100 acre feet. Normal storage is 1200 acre feet. It drains an area of 2.14 square miles.
