Anamosa, northeast Iowa
Anamosa Dam is on the Wapsipinicon River in Jones County, Iowa and is used for hydroelectric power purposes. Construction was completed in 1909. Its normal surface area is 120 acres. It is owned by Alliant Energy.
Anamosa is a gravity dam. The core is homogeneous, concrete. The foundation is rock. Its height is 12 feet with a length of 228 feet. Its capacity is 650 acre feet. Normal storage is 650 acre feet. It drains an area of 1662 square miles.
