Anoka Mill Pond, central Minnesota

Anoka Mill Pond is impounded by Rum River Dam on the Rum River in Anoka County, Minnesota and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1853. Its normal surface area is 70 acres. It is owned by the City Of Anoka.

 

Rum River, also known as Anoka Mill Pond is a gravity dam, concrete. Its height is 28 feet with a length of 342 feet. Maximum discharge is 12000 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 1000 acre feet. Normal storage is 800 acre feet. It drains an area of 1590 square miles.
