Though originally completed in 1937, the structure was modified in 1987. Its height is 44 feet with a length of 270 feet. Maximum discharge is 2606 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 341 acre feet. Normal storage is 429 acre feet. It drains an area of 2475 square miles.
