Atwood Lake Vacation and Resort Properties

Atwood Lake is created by Atwood Dam on Indian Fork Of Conotton Creek in Tuscarawas County, Ohio and is used for flood control, recreation and fish and wildlife protection, among other things. Construction of Atwood Dam was completed in 1936. At normal levels it has a surface area of 2.4 square miles. It is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lake property.

 

 

Atwood Lake was constructed primarily for flood control, recreation, fish and wildlife management. Located on the Corps' Atwood Lake, Atwood Lake Lodge and extensive recreation facilities are operated by the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD).

Golden Age and Golden Access passports are not honored at MWCD facilites.
