B.A.Steinhagen Lake, east TexasB.a.steinhagen Lake is created by Town Bluff Dam on the Neches River in Tyler County, Texas and is used for drinking water, recreation and hydroelectric power, among other things. Construction was completed in 1951. It has a normal surface area of 23 square miles. It is owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Town Bluff Dam, also known as B.a.steinhagen Lake is Though originally completed in 1951, the structure was modified in 1988. Its height is 45 feet with a length of 6698 feet. Maximum discharge is 218200 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 306400 acre feet. Normal storage is 94200 acre feet. It drains an area of 7573 square miles.
