Banks Lake, southcentral Georgia

Banks Lake is on Mill Creek in Lanier County, Georgia and is used for recreation purposes. At normal levels it has a surface area of 1.1 square miles. It is owned by Georgia Department Of Transportation.

 

Banks Lake Dam is of earthen construction. Its height is 15.2 feet with a length of 360 feet. Its capacity is 5018 acre feet. Normal storage is 3450 acre feet. It drains an area of 6000 square miles.
