Boynton Lake, southcentral Texas

Boynton Lake is on the Nueces River in Dimmit County, Texas and is used for irrigation purposes. Construction was completed in 1927. It is owned by Zavala Dimmit Counties Watershed Improvement District No1.

 

Boynton Lake Dam is of earthen construction. Its height is 27 feet with a length of 500 feet. Its capacity is 1424 acre feet. Normal storage is 771 acre feet.
