Brant Lake, northeast New York

Brant Lake Lower Dam is on a tributary of Schroon River in Warren County, New York and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1907. At normal levels it has a surface area of 3 acres. It is owned by Warren County.

 

Brant Lake Lower Dam is a gravity dam, of earthen construction. Its height is 18 feet with a length of 91 feet. Maximum discharge is 1100 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 20 acre feet. Normal storage is 10 acre feet.
