Brookville Lake, east Indiana
Brookville Lake is on the East Fork Of Whitewater River in Franklin County, Indiana and is used for flood control, recreation and drinking water purposes. Construction was completed in 1974. At normal levels it has a surface area of 8.2 square miles. It is owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Brookville Lake Dam, also known as Brookville Lake is of earthen construction, rock fill. Its length is 2800 feet. Maximum discharge is 47360 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 359600 acre feet. Normal storage is 184900 acre feet. It drains an area of 379 square miles.
