Buckhorn Lake, east Kentucky
Buckhorn Lake is on the Middlefork Kentucky River in Perry County, Kentucky and is used for flood control and recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1960. It has a normal surface area of 1.9 square miles. It is owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Buckhorn Lake Dam, also known as Buckhorn Lake is rock fill, of earthen construction. Its length is 1020 feet. Maximum discharge is 138000 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 167900 acre feet. Normal storage is 32100 acre feet. It drains an area of 408 square miles.
