Burba Lake, northeast Maryland
Kelly Pool is impounded by Burba Lake on the Franklin Branch River in Anne Arundel County, Maryland and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1917. At normal levels it has a surface area of 10 acres. It is owned by Us Army - Ft Meade.
Burba Lake, also known as Kelly Pool is of earthen construction. Though originally completed in 1917, the structure was modified in 1917. Its height is 16 feet with a length of 600 feet. Maximum discharge is 1610 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 86 acre feet. Normal storage is 16 acre feet. It drains an area of 1.1 square miles.
