Turners Falls Canal (reservoir) is impounded by Cabot Spillway Dam on the Montague Power Canal River in Franklin County, Massachusetts and is used for hydroelectric power purposes. Construction was completed in 1915. It is owned by Northeast Gen. Serv.
Cabot Spillway, also known as Turners Falls Canal (res) is concrete, a gravity dam. The core is upstream facing, concrete. The foundation is rock. Its length is 168 feet. Its capacity is 1800 acre feet. Normal storage is 1400 acre feet. It drains an area of 7168 square miles.
