Caples Lake, northcentral CaliforniaTwin Lake is formed by Caples Lake on a tributary of Silver Fork River in Alpine County, California and is used for drinking water, among other things. Construction was completed in 1922. Its normal surface area is 620 acres. It is owned by El Dorado Irrigation District. Caples Lake, also known as Twin Lake is rock fill. Its height is 71 feet with a length of 1200 feet. Normal storage is 21580 acre feet. It drains an area of 13 square miles.
