Construction was completed in 1890. Its normal surface area is 18 square miles. It is owned by East Branch Improvement Co./ Bangor Hydro Electric Co. Telos Dam, also known as Chamberlain Lake is timber crib, of earthen construction, a gravity dam. Its length is 240 feet. Maximum discharge is 2660 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 105200 acre feet. Normal storage is 101000 acre feet.
