Construction was completed in 1954. At normal levels it has a surface area of 5 acres. It is owned by Broad River S and Wcd. North Fork Broad River W/s Str # 3, also known as Collins Lake Dam is of earthen construction. Its height is 35.4 feet with a length of 405 feet. Maximum discharge is 1800 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 600 acre feet. Normal storage is 27.5 acre feet. It drains an area of 852 square miles.
