Control Structure 5, northeast Florida

Control Structure 5 Dam is on the Little Econ River in Orange County, Florida and is used for flood control and irrigation purposes. Construction was completed in 1970. It is owned by Orange County.

 

Control Structure 5 is a gravity dam, of earthen construction. Its length is 100 feet. Maximum discharge is 2580 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 31 acre feet. Normal storage is 15 acre feet.
