Cooks, southcentral Alabama

Cooks Dam is on a tributary of Conecuh River in Escambia County, Alabama and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1961. It is owned by A L Cook.

 

Cooks is of earthen construction. Its length is 427 feet. Maximum discharge is 360 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 50 acre feet. Normal storage is 38 acre feet.
