Davy Crockett Lake, Tennessee
Davy Crockett Lake is impounded by Nolichucky Dam on the Nolichucky River in Greene County, Tennessee and is used for fish and wildlife protection, among other things. Construction was completed in 1913. It has a normal surface area of 294 acres. It is owned by Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).
Nolichucky, also known as Davy Crockett Lake is concrete, a gravity dam. The core is concrete. The foundation is rock. Its length is 482 feet. Maximum discharge is 120000 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 2003 acre feet. Normal storage is 1507 acre feet. It drains an area of 1183 square miles.
