Double Lake, east Texas

Double Lake is on the Double Lake Branch River in San Jacinto County, Texas and is used for recreation and fish and wildlife protection purposes. It has been been there since 1932. It is owned by United States Forest Service.

 

Double Lake is of earthen construction. Its height is 18 feet with a length of 250 feet. Its capacity is 110 acre feet. Normal storage is 80 acre feet.
