Electra Lake, southwest Colorado
Cascade #2, Electra Lake is created by Terminal Dam fed offstream by Elbert Creek in La Plata County, Colorado and is used for hydroelectric power, recreation and fish and wildlife protection purposes. Construction was completed in 1902. It has a normal surface area of 1.3 square miles. It is owned by Public Service Co. Of Colorado.
Terminal, also known as Cascade #2, Electra Lake is rock fill. Its height is 103 feet with a length of 1275 feet. Maximum discharge is 4360 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 29800 acre feet. Normal storage is 23385 acre feet. It drains an area of 12.7 square miles.
