Farley Cat I Cool Water Storage Pond, southeast Alabama

Calhoun Pond is created by Farley Cat I Cool Water Storage Pond on the Chattahoochie Os River in Houston County, Alabama. Construction was completed in 1976. It has a normal surface area of 95 acres. It is owned by Alabama Power Company.

 

Its height is 63 feet with a length of 3900 feet. Maximum discharge is 2020 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 2674 acre feet. Normal storage is 1400 acre feet. It drains an area of 1 square miles.
