Forked Run Lake, east Ohio

Forked Run Lake is on the Forked Run River in Meigs County, Ohio and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1952. At normal levels it has a surface area of 138 acres. It is owned by Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division Of Parks and Recreation.

 

Forked Run Lake Dam is of earthen construction. Its height is 54.8 feet with a length of 660 feet. Maximum discharge is 15095 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 3672 acre feet. Normal storage is 1518 acre feet. It drains an area of 8.7 square miles.
