Georgetown Impoundment (lower), Kentucky

Georgetown Impoundment (Lower) Dam is on North Elkhorn Creek in Scott County, Kentucky and is used for drinking water purposes. Construction was completed in 1910. Its normal surface area is 30.3 acres. It is owned by the City Of Georgetown.

 

Georgetown Impoundment (lower) is a gravity dam. Its height is 8 feet with a length of 100 feet. Normal storage is 100 acre feet. It drains an area of 146 square miles.
