Goodyear, northeast Alabama

Goodyear Dam is on a tributary of Coosa River in Etowah County, Alabama and is used for recreation purposes. It has been been there since 1935. It is owned by Goodyear Rubber Company.

 

Goodyear is of earthen construction. Its length is 2020 feet. Maximum discharge is 6 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 128 acre feet. Normal storage is 70 acre feet.
