Green Valley Park, central Arizona

Green Valley Park Dam is on the American Gulch River in Gila County, Arizona and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1995. It has a normal surface area of 10 acres. It is owned by Town Of Payson.

 

Green Valley Park is of earthen construction. The foundation is soil. Its height is 13 feet with a length of 1005 feet. Maximum discharge is 9000 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 180 acre feet. Normal storage is 138 acre feet. It drains an area of 3.1 square miles.
