High Island Creek, southcentral Minnesota

High Island Creek Dam is on High Island Creek in Sibley County, Minnesota and is used for flood control, among other things. Construction was completed in 1958. It is owned by Mndnr-F.

 

High Island Creek is a gravity dam. Its length is 80 feet. Maximum discharge is 1107 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 50 acre feet. Normal storage is 50 acre feet.
