Hulah Lake, northeast Oklahoma
Hulah Lake is on the Caney River in Osage County, Oklahoma and is used for flood control and drinking water, among other things. Construction was completed in 1951. It has a normal surface area of 5.6 square miles. It is owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Hulah Lake is of earthen construction, a gravity dam. The core is earth. The foundation is rock, soil. Its height is 94 feet with a length of 5200 feet. Maximum discharge is 266200 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 289000 acre feet. Normal storage is 3116 acre feet. It drains an area of 732 square miles.
