Hulen Lake, central Missouri
Hulen Lake West Dam is on a tributary of County House Branch River in Boone County, Missouri and is used for recreation purposes. It was built in 1948. It has a normal surface area of 18 acres. It is owned by Lakeshore Estates.
Hulen Lake West Dam is of earthen construction. The core is homogeneous, earth. The foundation is soil. Though originally completed in 1948, the structure was modified in 1989. Its height is 50 feet with a length of 600 feet. Maximum discharge is 973 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 309 acre feet. Normal storage is 255 acre feet. It drains an area of 160 square miles.
