Huston, northeast Alabama

Huston Dam is on a tributary of Chulafinnee Creek in Cleburne County, Alabama and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1961. It is owned by Charles Houston.

 

Huston is of earthen construction. Its length is 400 feet. Maximum discharge is 760 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 90 acre feet. Normal storage is 45 acre feet.
