Junction Falls, WisconsinUpper Kinnickinnic is created by Junction Falls Dam on the Kinnickinnic River in Pierce County, Wisconsin and is used for hydroelectric power purposes. Construction was completed in 1920. It has a normal surface area of 15.5 acres. It is owned by the City of River Falls. Junction Falls, also known as Upper Kinnickinnic is a gravity dam. The core is homogeneous, concrete. The foundation is rock. Though originally completed in 1920, the structure was modified in 1920. Its height is 32 feet with a length of 144 feet. Maximum discharge is 11160 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 142 acre feet. Normal storage is 142 acre feet. It drains an area of 100 square miles.
