Kentucky River Lock and Dam 11, east Kentucky

Kentucky River Lock and Dam 11 Dam on the Kentucky River in Estill County, Kentucky is used for improved navigation, recreation and drinking water purposes. Construction was completed in 1906. It has a normal surface area of 579 acres. It is owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

 

Its length is 260 feet. Maximum discharge is 4200 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 14370 acre feet. Normal storage is 6900 acre feet. It drains an area of 3219 square miles.
