Kr-6, southeast Minnesota
Kr-6 Dam is on a tributary of Cascade Creek in Olmsted County, Minnesota and is used for flood control purposes. Construction was completed in 1993. It has a normal surface area of 29 acres. It is owned by the City Of Rochester.
Kr-6 is of earthen construction. The core is homogeneous, earth. The foundation is soil. Its height is 37 feet with a length of 638 feet. Maximum discharge is 5000 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 600 acre feet. Normal storage is 112 acre feet. It drains an area of 1.6 square miles.
