La No Name 47, southcentral Louisiana

La No Name 47 Dam is on a tributary of Bayou Barre in Pointe Coupee County, Louisiana. Construction was completed in 1962. It is owned by Town Of Morganza.

 

La No Name 47 is of earthen construction. The core is assumed to be earth. The foundation is soil. Its length is 2540 feet. Maximum discharge is 30 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 70 acre feet. Normal storage is 50 acre feet.
