Lake Anna, Virginia

Lake Anna Dam is the result of North Anna Dam on the North Anna River in Spotsylvania County, Virginia and is used for hydroelectric power, flood control and recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1972. It has a normal surface area of 20 square miles. It is owned by Vepco.

North Anna Dam, also known as Lake Anna Dam is of earthen construction. Its height is 90 feet with a length of 5150 feet. Its capacity is 305000 acre feet. Normal storage is 96000 acre feet. It drains an area of 343 square miles.
