Lake Ashburton, northeast MarylandLake Ashburton Dam is on the Gwynns Run River in Baltimore City County, Maryland and is used for drinking water purposes. Construction was completed in 1910. At normal levels it has a surface area of 25 acres. It is owned by Baltimore Dept Of Public Works. Lake Ashburton is of earthen construction, rock fill. Though originally completed in 1910, the structure was modified in 1910. Its height is 40 feet with a length of 1700 feet. Its capacity is 750 acre feet. Normal storage is 650 acre feet. It drains an area of 0.04 square miles.
