It has been been there since 1930. Its normal surface area is 13.6 square miles. It is owned by Crisp County Power Commission. Crisp County (warwick), also known as Lake Blackshear (res) is a gravity dam, buttress supported, of earthen construction. The core is homogeneous, earth. The foundation is rock. Its height is 42 feet with a length of 4655 feet. Maximum discharge is 48000 cubic feet per second. Normal storage is 145000 acre feet. It drains an area of 3750 square miles.
