Lake Carmel, New YorkLake Carmel Dam is on the Middle Branch Croton River in Putnam County, New York and is used for recreation purposes. It has been been there since 1930. At normal levels it has a surface area of 240 acres. It is owned by Town Of Kent. Lake Carmel Dam is of earthen construction. Its height is 25 feet with a length of 475 feet. Maximum discharge is 2830 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 2790 acre feet. Normal storage is 1620 acre feet. It drains an area of 13 square miles.
