It has a normal surface area of 7 acres. It is owned by the City Of Dallas. Lake Cliff Dam is of earthen construction. The foundation is rock, soil. Though originally completed in 1914, the structure was modified in 1991. Its height is 26 feet with a length of 300 feet. Maximum discharge is 1375 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 281 acre feet. Normal storage is 77 acre feet. It drains an area of 0.9 square miles.
