Lake Durant, northcentral New York

Lake Durant Dam is on the Rock River in Hamilton County, New York and is used for recreation purposes. It has been been there since 1933. It has a normal surface area of 500 acres. It is owned by Nys Dec.

 

Lake Durant Dam is a gravity dam. Its height is 20 feet with a length of 130 feet. Maximum discharge is 1600 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 2985 acre feet. Normal storage is 2985 acre feet. It drains an area of 16 square miles.
