Lake Eden, Vermont
Lake Eden Dam is on the Gihon River in Lamoille County, Vermont and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1900. It has a normal surface area of 186 acres. It is owned by the State Of the Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife (DFW).
Lake Eden is concrete, a gravity dam, of earthen construction. The core is homogeneous, concrete. The foundation is rock, soil. Its height is 8 feet with a length of 96 feet. Maximum discharge is 680 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 1500 acre feet. Normal storage is 830 acre feet. It drains an area of 6.9 square miles.
