Lake Hickory Vacation and Resort Properties

Lake Hickory is created by Oxford Dam on the Catawba River in Catawba County, North Carolina and is used for hydroelectric power purposes. Construction was completed in 1928. At normal levels it has a surface area of 5.4 square miles. It is property of Duke Power Company.
