Lake Lure, northwest North Carolina

Lake Lure Dam is on the Rocky Broad River in Rutherford County, North Carolina and is used for hydroelectric power purposes. Construction was completed in 1927. At normal levels it has a surface area of 1.2 square miles. It is owned by Town Of Lake Lure.
