It has a normal surface area of 35 acres. It is owned by Carthusian Foundation. Lake Madeleine is of earthen construction. The core is assumed to be homogeneous, earth. The foundation is soil. Its height is 70 feet with a length of 1700 feet. Maximum discharge is 4000 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 873 acre feet. Normal storage is 663 acre feet. It drains an area of 0.53125 square miles.
