Lake Manatee, east Florida

Lake Manatee Dam is on the Manatee River in Manatee County, Florida and is used for drinking water purposes. Construction was completed in 1967. It is owned by Manatee Co Utilities Sys.

 

Lake Manatee Dam is of earthen construction. Its length is 4700 feet. Maximum discharge is 16000 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 46600 acre feet. Normal storage is 22700 acre feet.
