Lake Mathews Vacation and Resort Properties

Lake Mathews Lake Matthews is a large reservoir in Riverside County, California. It is the western terminus of the Colorado River Aqueduct, providing drinking water to Los Angeles and Orange Counties. It is managed by the Eastern Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. Boating, swimming and fishing are prohibited.
