Lake Oklawaha, northeast Florida

Lake Oklawaha is the result of Rodman Dam and Spillway Dam on the Oklawaha River in Putnam County, Florida and is used for improved navigation and recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1968. Its normal surface area is 14.2 square miles. It is owned by Fl-Dep.

 

Rodman Dam And Spillway, also known as Lake Oklawaha is of earthen construction. Its length is 7175 feet. Maximum discharge is 36300 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 130000 acre feet. Normal storage is 60000 acre feet. It drains an area of 1868 square miles.
